1 perfect 5-Room-Dungeon

Welcome to MapVember 2022!

We have teamed up again with Johnn Four from to create the perfect planning tool for small, storydriven dungeons using the Ultimate Guide to 5 Room Dungeons.

Over the next few weeks, we will help you with prompts for every room in your dungeon - each easy to answer within your next lunch break - and together form your own unique 5-room-dungeon.

At the end you have the perfect concept, a great layout and if you follow along in our DungeonFog Battlemap Editor - an amazing dungeon map for your players as well.

How to use the MapVember prompts!
  1. Grab a pen and a piece of paper.
  2. Read each prompt and formulate a simple one or two sentence answer.
  3. Then launch your Battlemap Editor and visualize your idea.

Take our prompts as inspiration and you will have an amazing new dungeon for your players. Or use it to upgrade an old map - whatever you do, let us know the results and share your map with us on Discord, Twitter or our public library with the hashtag #mapvember22.

What’s a 5-Room-Dungeon?

5 Room Dungeons Have Story Baked In - You Just Fill In The Blanks!
This was my solution for combining the mythic story structure of legendary scholar Joseph Campbell and my quest for quick and easy adventure design.

This simple framework gives you everything you need to build a great evening of adventure for your friends.

Because of its built-in story structure, which you'll find present in everything from Star Wars to Game of Thrones, you don't have to worry about how to build drama or hook characters deeper into your plot.

The 5 Room Dungeon format has that baked in, plus clear guidance on what encounters to build and what kind they should be.”

New book by Guy & Till available now on Kickstarter

Epic Locations: Nature

Guy and Till new book was successfully founded on Kickstarter and the community has unlocked several stretch goals. One of these stretch goals is adding one page for each location to show how those maps would look like if they were transported into a different realm like the Feywild, the Hells or the Shadowfell.

Luckily you still can grab your personal copy by pre ordering it online and get it as soon the production is done.
