Not to far off the beaten path and just before the scare desert is a series of pools called "The Potholes" for their size. To the unsuspecting traveler these little pools are death traps. A more keen eye will see the discoloration of the water and the land. This water is filled with poisonous acid and deadly steam that bubbles up on the surface. The misty steam is acidic enough to destroy most armor and blades. Adventures will take their time to find safe passage through the potholes and timing their movement with the bubbling mist... of course, you might have to keep up the pace if you are being chased by a pack of gnolls!
