The town of Thundertree lies in ruins, after the eruption of Mount Hotenow a horde of zombies descended on the town. Although long since gone, the dark magic permeates the place, accelerating the buildings' decay and twisting the plant life into strange and dangerous forms.

A young green dragon has taken up roost in a wizard's former tower and a group of cultists have taken up residence nearby in hopes of winning his favor. An old druid also keeps a solitary watch over the town, hoping to send the dragon packing and eventually quell the dark magics that have twisted nature.
