Spugnois will reach out to the players post-moathouse to ask for their help in his scholarly investigation of a small cave outside Hommlet. According to his research, it contains an ancient shrine to Lolth, and would be invaluable to his ongoing research* into Drow culture.

*in my conversion, Spugnois is still a spellcaster, but keeps it entirely under wraps; he also is a scholar of Drow culture for the purpose of creating a smooth segue into Against the Giants/Shrine of the Kuo-Toa/Queen of the Demonweb Pits

This dungeon is almost exclusively populated by large numbers of quippers, kuo-toa, and spiders, with a single piercer as a hidden enemy.
