Description
This was a high level dungeon, created by a mad & power scientist/mage, the last of a highly advanced & wiped out civilization. The mage was obsessed with horrific experiments to combine creatures to create the perfect & immortal creature. He went mad long ago and became a monstrosity, killing the entire staff and locking the facility down, signs of the slaughter & the failed defense are found throughout the lair. The base is now run by a sort of Virtual Intelligence, not a true AI.
It's meant to be filled with high tech traps, advanced constructs, and horrific creatures that can be kept in stasis rooms or teleported in. The players are meant to use the elevator in B1 to reach B2, where they begin to find flesh like growths partially covering the floors, walls, and ceiling. From there, they work their way to the computer room to restore power to the floor, fight to the teleporter room to gain the B3 card that lets them move to B3, which has been fully covered in Ragnar's flesh growths, and finally confront Ragnar the Mad in his room.
In my campaign, the last airship was waiting for them at the end of this dungeon. They also found a video diary detailing his descent into madness on B3, and a room filled with ancient knowledge (along with some magic items if you want).
